I built this book entirely out of the annual shareholder letters written by Jeff Bezos. As Amazon’s founder and CEO, Bezos has personally composed these letters each year since its IPO in 1997. In 2021, Bezos stepped down and sent out his final shareholder letter as CEO.

Throughout these letters, Bezos has generously shared his many secrets — timeless business lessons that stem from first principles, and, therefore, can be utilized to fit your unique needs.

I’m not an expert on any of the topics in this book. I’m the curator. And all the brilliance in this book belongs to Jeff Bezos — I’ve made every attempt to present Bezos in his own words. However, the content is edited for clarity.
